Cameron Diaz Defends Casting Of Justin Timberlake In ‘Bad Teacher’
Remember when I told you last week about Justin Timberlake being cast opposite his ex-girlfriend, Cameron Diaz, for the movie ‘Bad Teacher’? Access Hollywood asked her about the casting choice last night on the red carpet.
“We’re thrilled to have him,” Cameron told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush on the Oscars red carpet on Sunday night. “He’s the best person for the job. He’s going to be hilarious.
“He’s clearly a very talented comedian, look at his ‘Saturday Night Live’ [skits],” she continued. “He’s fantastic, he’s going to be so great.”
I’m sure Cameron has enough clout as an actress that she was asked about casting Justin ahead of time, so she’s obviously fine with it, but I wonder how Justin’s current girlfriend, Jessica Biel, feels about it.
Well, if you’re in a committed relationship with someone, then you should trust them (especially in the entertainment industry, right?) And Justin and Cameron did beak up for a reason.
But I have to admit, I wouldn’t be thrilled if I were Jessica. Yet Justin’s skits are funny. I hope he can apply those same skills for a full-length feature film. I’m just not sure how funny the film itself sounds.
I’ll have to keep an eye out for a trailer.
