Katy Perry tells Glamour UK that her parents didn’t judge Russell Brand based on anything in his past.
“They really didn’t know about him,” Perry says. “They give people the benefit of the doubt and it’s up to the person to mess it up.”
She admits that he’s completely won them over, especially her mom:
“He’s very charming with them and he has an ongoing on email love with my mom and she loves it,” Perry laughs. “She flirts with him, which is totally inappropriate and I tell him to stop.”
Katy shares how she thinks things will change once she and Russell get married:
“I won’t be able to get drunk all the time, but I don’t want to. I won’t be able to waste hours on the internet, but I don’t need to. I have to be precious with my time because I need time with myself and I want time with him. It’s just about balance.”
She says that she shouldn’t be on “baby bump watch” for a few years yet:
“Babies in a few years, perhaps,” she muses. “If you see a bump, it’s just water retention!”
