First time director Angelina Jolie opened up about her new movie, the still untitled Bosnian love story set during the Bosnian War.

Angelina shared that she wants this to be a film for everyone to enjoy:

“The important thing is I want to make sure that we make a film for people who just want to go to the movies to watch a love story. To not be put off by anything that seems too heavy. We want to walk that fine line to make it accessible to everybody because it’s important for as many people to see it.”

Angelina actually shot it as two movies – one in English and one in their native language:

“We actually shot a full version in their native language and we shot a full version in English. We shot two complete films. I was only able to do it because the actors were so fluent in English so they were willing to work hard and do the scenes in two languages,”

She is considering converting it to black and white, but hasn’t made a final decision:

“It’s shot in color but it could transfer to black and white. We haven’t decided that. We put a series of pictures together in black and white and it was beautiful.”

I have to admit that I’m dying to see how this turns out. And it will be fun to hear what the actors have to say about her directing style when they do press for the movie. I know, they aren’t even finished filming yet and I’m already anticipating the press junket!

Malin Akerman knows a little bit about Vince Vaughn since being married to him on-screen in ‘Couples Retreat’. So, she decided to weigh in on what kind of husband he will make for his new wife, Kyla Weber (the couple married back in January).

She says that he will make a:

“wonderful real husband.”

Although he’s a bit different from her on-screen husband:

“The character in the film is a man who has a nine-to-five job, and Vince in his real life shoots a film for three months and then can take three months of,” she says. “So it’ll be different cause he will have more time to spend with his lovely wife.”

She not only has a lot of respect for her castmate, she also bonded with his wife during shooting:

“We’re all in love with his wife,” “She’s an amazing person.”

She shares that the two make a great couple:

“Just watching them on set, they’re really lovely together,” says Akerman.
