Casting is still underway for Charlie Sheen’s new show, ‘Anger Management,’ and Charlie wants Selma Blair as his leading lady in the show.

“[Selma Blair] is a strong frontrunner. She’s a very special lady and is as pretty as the day is long and has never really had the opportunity to do something where she can shine, because off camera she’s hilarious. I think she’s one of the prettiest women in Hollywood.”

Off-screen, Charlie says his favorite leading lady is his ex-wife Denise Richards, and he regrets their split. He said they had a great family vacation in December.

“It was fabulous. It was one of those trips that re-established what should have been in place a long time ago. But things happen when they’re supposed to. I came home with like a whole new family. She’s really fabulous, best mom in the world. I’m like, ‘Why did I leave her?’ Oh right, she left me!”

I might be a little frightened of working with Charlie, but ‘Two and a Half Men’ was a hit show when he left it, so I can see why Selma would want the opportunity!

Denise Richards on her new and improved relationship with ex-husband Charlie Sheen:

“It’s our ‘Modern Family’ I suppose. We’ve actually become like brother and sister, we really have. We’ve become very, very good friends. When we all spend time together, it’s great for the kids and for us too. We actually get along.

I think the key is making it about the kids. The stuff between the couple… if you’re divorced… it’s no longer about you anymore. You have to be the bigger person and make it about the kids and so that’s what we’re doing. “

Kudos to Denise and Charlie for putting the kids first and getting beyond their old issues!  They seem to be making it work, they’ve been vacationing together quite a bit!

So how does Charlie Sheen respond to the questions about his very public meltdown (which led to his firing from the hit show ‘Two and a Half Men’) as he promotes his new show, ‘Anger Management’?

“I’m not crazy any more. That was an episode,” Sheen says, laughing…”I think I’m a different person than I was yesterday. Everything is a lot more mellow and focused and much more rooted in reality.”

For Charlie’s sake (and his kids), I hope this is true.

Charlie Sheen is enjoying a “modern family vacation” with his ex-wife Denise Richards and just posted some pictures on his website. Click here and here to see the full shots. They look so happy together, right?

The former ‘Two and a Half Men’ actor even went fishing and proudly showed off his catch.  No word on where they are but it looks like Charlie and Denise have move passed their differences.

Charlie tweeted:

“what’s better than a modern family vacation!?! love spending winter break w/ @denise_richards & my kids!”

So, what does Denise have to say about all of this? She tweeted:

“it’s good for our children thats all I care about.”

It’s nice to see that the children are coming first these days. Bitter battles never end well.

The Associated Press (AP) announced who their Entertainer of the Year is for 2011: it’s ‘Marry the Night’s singer Lady Gaga. She reportedly edged out the late Steve Jobs by a mere three votes. Goodness it was close! Well, it fits with what Lady Gaga has said in the past:

“One of my greatest artworks is the art of fame. I’m a master of the art of fame.”

Yes, she is . She also puts her fame to good use, which is what I really like. Other celebrities who received a lot of votes include the ‘Harry Potter’ cast, Taylor Swift, Charlie Sheen, and Adele.

Though former Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen has made the headlines for all the wrong reasons this past year, it seems that the actor took on a new role that many did not have expect— Prince Charming to his ex-wife, Brooke Mueller!

On Dec. 2, news broke that Brooke had been arrested and charged with the intent to distribute drugs and assault in Aspen, CO. However, when the troubled star and mom-of-two phoned her parents for help, they declined.

However, Charlie saved the day (and got her out of the slammer), by posting her $11,000 bond, as per Radar Online.

Though Charlie has straightened himself out a bit, the same cannot be said for his ex. Brooke has battled both drinking and drug addictions in the past, and according to Radar Online, her latest arrest may have been the last straw for her family.

“Brooke’s family is done with her, she has to get straight or she’s going to die,” said a source to the website. “They actually wanted to leave her in jail.”

While Brooke may be free for now, she’s due back in court on Dec. 19. If found guilty, she could face up to six years in prison.

Hopefully Brooke’s latest run-in with the law will wake her up for good!

Former ‘Two and a Half Men‘ star Charlie Sheen was spotted this morning as he arrived at the set of his new movie.  Charlie is starring in the upcoming flick ‘A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III’. He’s playing the lead character and co-starring with Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Bill Murray.

A graphic designer’s enviable life slides into despair when his girlfriend breaks up with him.

He winds up playing a lot of characters named Charlie.  His character on Spin City was Charlie and even the dog he voiced on ‘All Dogs Go To Heaven 2′.  Just a funny coincidence I guess.

He looks well, doesn’t he?  Hopefully things stay that way!

If you’re like me, you read the headline and were like “What? They were together?” Last I’d heard, Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller had finalized their divorce and were working on ways to co-parent their twin boys. Apparently they decided to give their own relationship another try with Brooke moving into Charlie’s mansion.

A source told X17 Online:

“Brooke tried to make it work because she and Charlie do care about each other. But, ultimately, it just wasn’t working. She’s in a really positive place now, and realized it’s best for her and the kids if she moves on.”

I suspect Brooke made the right choice for herself and her sons, especially if this helps her maintain her sobriety: good for her!
