People definitely seem to have strong feelings about Jennifer Lopez, don’t they? I remember her saying some pretty impolitic things back in the 90s, when she first became famous, and then the “Bennifer” debacle sent things into overdrive. Jennifer confessed in an interview that it gets tough for her sometimes.

“It’s hard sometimes, I’m not going to lie. I try to stay away from the media as much as I can. Sometimes. I try not to take it too personally, because I don’t think they do it just to me. But as a human being it feels like that. You feel like you’re the only one being picked on. But the truth is, they pick on everybody. They really don’t discriminate. I try to concentrate on all the great things I have going on in my life.”

That’s a great strategy! And despite her experiences, Jennifer says she wouldn’t stop her children, Emme and Max, from pursuing careers in show business.

“Here’s what I know about doing what I do – and obviously their dad is the same way. If they’re going to do it, there’s nothing I can do to stop them – and I’ll support them. But just like my mom, I’m going to make them go to school and I’m going to let them make that decision when they’re old enough to make that decision.

“I don’t want them to be in the business at a young age. I just don’t think they need that burden, that pressure. They should have a normal life – go to school, play, grow up. They should have a family life, as solid a foundation as I can give them. If they want to go off and be artists or singers or dancers or pilots or architects or anything – then they have my full support. My mom couldn’t stop me from [getting into this industry], I won’t be able to stop them from doing it.”

Makes sense to me! I’ve noticed we aren’t hearing as much about Jaden and Willow Smith these days: maybe Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith are slowing things down a little for their kids after some of the outcry?

Now THIS is a change: for once, Kim Kardashian does NOT want part of her life documented on camera! Kris Humphries wants their divorce televised to:

“expose the M.O. of reality TV” by proving Kim had no intention of staying married to him, but just wanted big ratings for her reality show.

Remember, Kris is claiming Kim defrauded him by marrying him only for the sake of her show; that’s his argument for why the marriage should be annulled. According to TMZ, Kris’ argument has two major problems: he proposed to Kim, and the prenup reportedly is very detailed, suggesting Kim was thinking years into the future.

Kim, meanwhile, wants their divorce to be handled in private mediation.

“A public trial is the last thing that Kim wants… [private mediation] is routinely done in California, since it’s a no-fault state. Kim doesn’t want a long drawn out trial. She wants the mediation to be private, confidential, and legally binding… Kim just wants this over and done with.”

Jennifer Aniston set the record straight with InStyle magazine about the ever-lasting “love triangle” stories between ex-husband Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and herself. Jennifer was asked what the press gets wrong about her the most, and this was her answer:

“The triangle with my ex-husband – and that there’s a feud there. It’s constant. It’s a story headline that won’t go away, but it’s a money thing,” says Aniston, adding that people in the media make money off “a story that has nothing to do with reality.”

It seems like the story that just WON’T die! (Of course, Jennifer’s friends like Chelsea Handler don’t help matters.) However, Jennifer said she and Justin Theroux are still “going strong” and she’s in a “joyful and peaceful” place in her life. Good for her!

‘Live with Kelly’ host Kelly Ripa covers the March issue of ‘Good Housekeeping,’ and she dished on a variety of topics!

On her husband, Mark Consuelos: ”He’s kind of awesome. I think he makes me better. He makes everything in our lives better.”

On her best qualities as a wife: “I don’t give him a hard time about seeing his friends. Or for doing things independently, like taking a weekend biking trip with his racing friends. He doesn’t need to take me everywhere or do everything with me. I’m very much about us having our own separate time. And I don’t give him a hard time about not doing things around the house, like taking out the trash.”

On her exercise routine: “I work out every day. It’s part of my life. That’s one of the benefits of having kids in school full-time. I’m usually done with work around 11 A.M., so I have time before I pick the kids up from school. I do it more for my insides than my outside, but the outside gets a nice benefit, too. I feel like my mind is a little quieter when I exercise. And I don’t have the best family history heart-wise, so I really try to keep my heart strong.”

On keeping her energy up: “I think exercise has everything to do with it. Before I started exercising, I was exhausted all the time. I remember when Joaquin was about 7 months old, I was carrying him up the stairs, and was completely winded when I got to the top. I thought, I’ve got to figure this out, because I shouldn’t be exhausted like this. My husband encouraged me and said, “If you worked out, you’d feel so much better, and it would quiet your mind down.” Because I’m a worrier. And he was right…”

On having another baby: “That’s the one constant discussion in our house. The kids are always asking, “When are you going to have another baby?” I don’t want to gild the lily. We’ve been so lucky. Our children are healthy and happy. My job is ideal for raising children, but now I have three kids with after-school activities and homework.”

Makes sense to me!

Jennifer Garner may now be happily married to Ben Affleck, but this is actually the second time around for her: her first marriage was to actor Scott Foley when she was 28.

“Everyone reaches maturity at a different times. I wish I’d known to wait for marriage until I was 30 or over. I did marry in my twenties and I found divorce a crushing experience. I thought the divorce statistics would never apply to me. I was beyond heartbroken when they did.

“But I got up and got on with it. I also kept my belief in marriage. I did not have a fairytale vision of the future of the future but I still believed I would find someone to commit to and raise kids with.”

Jennifer also said Ben surprises her every day as her husband.

“Ben is not only my husband, he has helped me in every way. He is the base of my life. He is an incredibly loving and generous man. I expected he would be a great dad and he is. But what really surprised me was how, when something goes wrong, he is so much calmer than I am.”

It sounds like these two have a great partnership! With two kids and a third on the way, that’s great to hear. Love this family .

Jennifer Lopez visited the ‘Today’ show today to talk about ‘American Idol’ and her new reality TV show, ‘Q’Viva: The Chosen.’ It turned into talking about her ex, Marc Anthony.

“Marc and I were friends before we got married. We were friends for years. And we always loved each other and we always worked together. So it wasn’t an unnatural thing for us to continue to work together. And we have children together. So he’s always going to be in my life. It has its difficult moments,” but they are committed to the show.

Then Matt Lauer asked her about her comments when Jennifer said she loved herself enough to walk away from her marriage. Jennifer’s reply?

“Matt! I’m going to kill you right now. Why do you have to bring it up!”

“Can you explain that a little bit more?” he said.

“No! I can’t!” she answered, laughing. “Because everything I wanted to say about the divorce I said in that article, and Marc and I agreed we weren’t going to talk about it publicly again because it really is our personal life. … At the end of the day, like I said, we’re working together, we have a lot of love for each other and we’re human. It’s not the easiest thing in the world but I think we handle it with a lot of grace and a lot of caring and a lot of love.”

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepherd have been engaged for a while now, but not only does Kristen not need a big wedding, it sounds like she doesn’t need a wedding at all!

“We consider ourselves already married – we already wear the rings. I don’t want a wedding. It’s too much stress.

“I come from a very traditional household. For a while, I thought a marriage certificate was important, but the older I get, the more I see how little it means. I think one of the most important things you can do in your life is pair up with someone else. I think living alongside someone and sharing everything with them is just beautiful.”

Kristen is much more grounded than a lot of ladies, who become SO fixated on the wedding that they seem to forget it’s only one day in the rest of their lives!

Busy actress and celebrity mom Jessica Alba says that she is completely happy with her life right now and credits her family – husband Cash Warren and daughters Honor and Haven – for that.

Jessica shared with Access Hollywood why she is absolutely glowing lately:

“I’m happier than I’ve ever been in my entire life and I think that definitely comes through.”

She says her quick slim-down post-baby is due to healthy choices in her second pregnancy:

“With my second pregnancy, I didn’t gain as much weight, so I made healthier choices. So, it was a little bit easier to get back.”

Jessica is promoting her new site, Honest.com, which offers non-toxic, eco-friendly, affordable products for babies.  She shared that instead of adding to her family with another baby, she built a website:

Sinead O’Connor’s on-again, off-again marriage is again off. Sinead says the reason for this split is her husband’s harsh treatment from the Irish media. She explained on her website:

Ireland is a very f***ed up country. Certain sections of our media are pure evil. These people, along with others caused enormous damage deliberately and maliciously to my innocent flower of a husband, purely because he was with me. And so his association with me became something very bad for his life. And slowly since we were married I became very ill as result of what was done to my husband and i was unable to cope. And became depressed..
The behaviour of one particular paper resulted in very serious damage to my husband and myself personally and consequently made the marriage untenable so that it is now over and I hope the media will kindly leave the poor man alone to get on with his life.
I will never again associate myself romantically with anyone as I could not bear to see these things done again to someone I love.

Poor Sinead: what on earth was the Irish media saying?! I guess Sinead is also explaining her rumored suicide attempt when she overdosed on pills and then went onto twitter asking for the contact information for a psychiatrist. Goodness!

I used to think Sinead was just eccentric; now I wonder if she isn’t truly troubled. It’s too bad Sinead’s marriage is over again, but maybe she needs to spend some time focusing on herself before getting into a relationship.
