Only 50 days until ‘The Hunger Games‘ finally opens on the big screen! Here’s a new trailer. I can’t WAIT to see this on the big screen! The movie is getting a one-week IMAX run. This type of movie would look great on an IMAX screen.

‘Hunger Games’ star Jennifer Lawrence may have announced the Oscar nominations for 2012, but director Gary Ross is already saying she deserves a nomination for the 2013 Academy Awards based on her performance here. The role of Katniss is an incredible one, so if Jennifer portrays her well, I can see that. The ‘Hunger Games’ trilogy is pretty dark, but it’s an amazing series.

I still can’t believe this story! Yesterday afternoon, screen stud Christian Bale got into an altercation while attempting to meet Chen Guangcheng, a blind lawyer and civil rights activist, who has been under house arrest since Sept. 2010. However, once Christian got close to Chen’s home in the Chinese city Linyi, he was greeted by guards and punches instead.

As the Huffington Post reported, Christian, whose film The Flowers of War is set to hit theaters later this month, traveled to Chen’s home with a CNN camera crew on Dec. 15. Things took a turn for the worse, however, when the guards protecting the home prevented Christian and the crew from getting inside, ultimately leading to multiple shoves and swings being thrown.

While Christian obviously didn’t get the chance to meet Chen, he was seriously touched by the activist’s story and what local individuals have been doing.

“I’m not being brave doing this,” said Christian to the CNN crew. “The local people who are standing up to the authorities and insisting on going to visit Chen and his family and getting beaten up for it and my understanding is getting detained for it, I want to support what they’re doing.”

With a new film and multiple projects among the many things on Christian’s mind, reps for the Oscar winner insist that all he wanted to do was help.

“He’s been following the story and he was just really moved by the story and what this man’s been trying to do and it’s impossible [to see him],” said Bale’s rep to the Huffington Post. “and he thought he was there for work, and he would try and see if he could help. [It was] just really being moved on a personal level and that is what he chose to do.”

I loved the movie ‘The Help’ so much! Fresh off attending a photocall for their movie in Madrid the stars rocked the red carpet at the UK Premiere.

Emma Watson looks amazing in polka dots! Her dress is so stunning, I love the draping over the arms. Emma even took the time to stop and pose for pictures with waiting fans.

Viola Davis was equally stunning in her purple dress. I bet we’ll be hearing Viola’s name when they announce the Oscar nominees this year.

Octavia Spencer looked lovely and demure in her blue dress. I think that Octavia’s character might have been my favourite in the movie.

“The Dude” is back! Well, sort of. The stars of the 1998 fan favorite, The Big Lebowski, rocked the carpet on Tuesday night in New York City to celebrate the film’s blu-ray release.

While Julianne Moore tried to keep a straight smile as she did the step-and-repeat in a black frock with a bow, she couldn’t stop laughing thanks to her Oscar winning co-star, Jeff Bridges. After showing off some serious acting chops in films like Chloe for Julianne and True Grit for Jeff, it must have been refreshing to look back on their comedic roots with this seriously funny feature!

Although the London premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 may have come and gone, but that doesn’t mean the excitement stopped just as the credits started to roll. No, these Potter stars definitely know how to party and did just that into the wee hours of the morning on July 7. Just asked the franchise’s leading lady, Emma Watson.

The former Ivy Leaguer, who was just stateside shooting Perks of Being a Wallflower with fellow supernatural starlet Nina Dobrev, was spotted outside the afterparty, along with her co-stars, but sporting another gorgeous getup. The 21-year-old traded in her Oscar de la Renta ball gown, for a sparkly full-skirted frock that went a little beyond her knees, along with beige peep toe pumps. I don’t know about you, but this look is nothing more than magical!

Justin Timberlake was VERY open with Playboy magazine in his interview. He admitted to smoking pot.

“Absolutely. The only thing pot does for me is it gets me to stop thinking. Sometimes I have a brain that needs to be turned off. Some people are just better high.”

Ever try taking a few deep breaths or meditation? Well, this interview was to promote his new comedy with Cameron Diaz, ‘Bad Teacher.’ This quote definitely fits with that movie- LOL.

NO! What will The Today Show do without Meredith Vieira? She’s iconic! The wonderful talk show host tweeted,

“I’ve decided to leave TODAY in June.”

Ann Curry is set to replace her on the show.

This morning during the live broadcast she said,

“This is a difficult day for me. I’m trying hard to hold it together.”

Meredith said that the reasons for her departure is simple — she wants to have more time to spend with her husband and their three children.

It looks like Justin Timberlake is moving on from his split with Jessica Biel. He was spotted out with ‘Tron: Legacy’ star Olivia Wilde at LA hot spot Roxbury on Saturday evening. Some witnesses told Us Magazine:

“They were obviously on a date. They were dancing, whispering, he had his hand on her back and shoulders and they were together all night.”

“His arm was around her, they were talking closely, just the two of them. Justin and Olivia were there with a group, but weren’t talking to anyone else.”

Olivia recently filed for divorce from her husband of eight years. Well, I think Justin and Olivia would make a great looking couple, but they may just be looking for something low-key. We’ll have to wait and see .
