‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ star Rooney Mara chose this pretty green dress for the Virtuosos Award event at the 27th Santa Barbara Film Festival. Although I think the dress is pretty, I’m not sure I’d choose it for an evening event. Can’t wait to see what Rooney wears to the Oscars, though!

I’m still bummed that I didn’t get a chance to see ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ in theaters (the holidays were just too hectic), but I’m definitely looking forward to seeing it on Netflix!

The pranks that Brad Pitt and George Clooney pull on each other and their friends are the stuff of legend.  Brad admitted at the Producer’s Guild Awards that he has something up his sleeve for pal George, but hasn’t been ready to unleash it just yet:

“I’ve been sitting on one that is so brutal, and so ruthless. I’ve had it in my pocket for about five years, I think.”

“We are like two nuclear superpowers at this point. We shouldn’t launch because we will annihilate each other.”

When asked if he’d pull the prank on Clooney at the Oscars, the dad of six replied:

“No, no. We’re gonna handle this one like gentlemen and we’ll get dirty off camera.”

‘One Day‘ actress Anne Hathaway caught a flight leaving LAX this afternoon.  Anne has been enjoying a bit of a break with her boyfriend back in Hollywood, but it looks like she’s headed back to work now.

I wonder if filming for ‘The Dark Knight Rises‘ is finished up yet?  If so, next on her agenda is the new adaptation of ‘Les Miserables’, which she’ll be co-starring with Hugh Jackman in.  They had great chemistry at the Oscars when Hugh was the host, so I’m anxious to see them together again!

Whoopi Goldberg has admitted that she was so nervous before accepting her Oscar in 1991, that she smoked cannabis in hopes of “relaxing herself”.

Winning the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in recognition of her role as Oda Mae Brown in ‘Ghost’, the  55-year-old actress admitted her mother knew as soon as she saw her accept the award.

In a video of her voiceover for the 1992 movie ‘The Pagemaster’ obtained by TMZ, Whoopi said: “My mother called me afterwards and said, ‘You smoked didn’t you? Your eyes were just glistening.’

“So I panicked and got the Oscars tape to see whether you could tell and you just couldn’t. I know you’re not supposed to admit that you smoke pot but I don’t drink alcohol!”

She said:

“I learned a great lesson though. Never smoke pot before there’s the possibility of having to talk to one hundred million people. Smoking cigarettes and pot every now and then are one thing that relaxes me and I thought, ‘I’ve got to relax.’

“So I smoked this joint that was the last of my home grown and honey, when he said my name and I popped up, I was like, ‘Oh f**k, oh f**k, up the stairs one two three four five, onto the podium. There’s millions of people, OK grab the statue.’ I knew I should have never had done it.”

Wow, I’m shocked! Does it surprise you that Whoopi smoked pot?

I think after this year’s Academy Awards it’s safe to say that the academy will be looking for a new host next year, and Hugh Jackman has revealed that he wouldn’t mind the job!

Hugh spoke to E!’s Marc Malkin and revealed that he got a little nostalgic when he was rehearsing for the awards show;

“I did have a great, great time hosting,”

“When I came [to the Kodak] for rehearsals this year, there was a little tug. I was like, ‘I wouldn’t mind doing this again.’ “

Jackman was spotted out today in New York with his daughter Ava. He’s busy getting ready for his new Wolverine movie and E! reports that Hugh was asked to put on 30 pounds of muscle for the role! Wow! I am looking forward to that movie:)

Isla Fisher was looking lovely as she made her way to the CBS morning show in New York today. Isla has been pretty busy lately promoting her new animated film ‘Rango’. She was also just at the Academy Awards, where she was nominated for Best Actress and revealed on the red carpet that she was really nervous! Well if I were Anne Hathaway I don’t think I would be too fond of James Franco! Us Weekly is reporting that the two actors who co-hosted the Academy Awards together grew to “hate each other” during the course of their rehearsals for the awards show. According to a source, the magazine says that;

“She had to provide all the energy — he was just phoning it in,”

“James seemed in his own little world, producers were pi*#ed.”

We already told you that James actually skipped out on his own after party, and the magazine says that it’s because he was upset at how the show went;

“He went immediately back to NYC because he was pissed about how the show went”

Franco and Hathaway’s reps are denying that there is any bad blood between the two, with Franco’s rep saying;

“This is absolutely not true,”

 And Anne’s rep following up with

“Anne had a wonderful experience with him.”

All I know is that Franco was terrible up there. Anne did a pretty good job considering what she had to work with, in my opinion. Both former hosts Hugh Jackman and Billy Crystal are rumoured to want to host again. I vote for Billy Crystal, although I think Robert Downey Jr. would also be amazing!

I’m not at ALL surprised to find out that stylist-to-the-stars Rachel Zoe was the one who dressed Anne Hathaway in all eight of her dresses for the Oscars Sunday night! Didn’t Anne look great? Rachel talked to Entertainment Weekly about it.

It was a big night for me, but you can only imagine what it was like for Annie. It was pretty incredible. We’ve been working on it since they announced it… It was one of things, like, normally we need to have this many fittings to get to one dress, and now we have the opportunity to use, in total, eight dresses. It was the ultimate fantasy for both of us. We got to play dress-up. Annie’s certainly one of my muses.

So how was it for Rachel when she found out Anne was going to host the Oscars?

My reaction was, “Of course I’m pregnant. Why wouldn’t I be pregnant during this time?”

LOL! It is funny how those things work out, isn’t it?

Rachel said most of the outfits Anne wore were custom and couture. I bet that WAS fun! Were you a fan of Anne’s Oscar looks? I definitely think Anne was one of the Oscar fashion winners.

Last night Russell Brand took his mom as his date to the Oscars because his lovely wife Katy Perry was out of town. Katy and Russell were spotted together this morning as they left an Opera house in Los Angeles.

Katy Tweeted this morning that she’s keeping a secret:

13 hours later I’m back in sweeeet Los Angeles… and boy do I have a secret for you! GOOD MORNING

Wonder what it could be?…. Hopefully she won’t keep us in suspense too long and hopefully the new revelation is better than the one she shared the other day.
