This had to be one of the most low-key couples in Hollywood, and now they’re over. Emma Roberts and Chord Overstreet dated for nine months. So what happened?

“They’re both young kids, they had crushes on each other but the relationship ran its course,” one source explains to Us. “She isn’t and wasn’t looking for a serious thing.” Roberts, who partied solo in Sundance, is “back to having fun now.”

“He’s so nice and was such a good boyfriend,” another insider says of Overstreet. “He was always so sweet.”

Well, they’re both young, and it was obviously more than just a summer fling. That’s all part of the dating life!

Bethenny Frankel Says We’ll See “Marital Problems” On ‘Bethenny Ever After’

A new season of ‘Bethenny After Ever’ is about to start, and the star, Bethenny Frankel, admits that one of the storylines will be some tension between herself and her husband, Jason Hoppy.

“I just turned 41, and to be perfectly honest, I unintentionally crammed everything in. I got pregnant. I got married eight months pregnant, and now I sold my business or part of my business. We’re just settling into what married life really is without the excitement of a wedding and the baby.”

YES! This is what I try to explain can happen when people get married because of a pregnancy: there’s a whole lot of excitement as you plan a wedding, anticipate the baby, but eventually life will settle down, and when it does, who are you married to?

“When we met each other in a nightclub, it took months for us to realize, ‘Oh, wait. I really married you. Like, you said you were all these things, but you really are all these things.’ That’s the same thing with both of us. This is who we both are and we are both learning to accept… my relationship has amazing ups. We’re partners. We’re in love. We are together in it, but we struggle. We’ve had a lot go on, and we’re dealing with it together, and this season shows that.”

Rumor has it that Brody Jenner and Avril Lavigne have ended their relationship after two years together. A source tells Life & Style:

“They decided to end their relationship. It wasn’t working out, and they wanted to go their separate ways. She wanted to settle down, but he wasn’t exactly ready. They had been having problems starting in the summer with her tour because she was on the road all the time. It put a strain on their relationship.”

Do you think there’s any truth to this one? Avril and Brody kept most of their relationship under the media radar, so it’s hard to tell! We’ll have to wait for rep confirmation or denial I guess!

Kyle Richards Offers Controversial Relationship Advice

Kyle Richards is branching out from reality TV personality (she’s on ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ along with her sister, Kim) into author, which includes advice-giver. She has some interesting advice about what you should do if you’re unfaithful.

“If you cheat once, don’t tell. You get a free pass.

“I’ve seen circumstances with people that I know are in love with their spouse and they made one mistake and I said — this is somebody that I know, nobody that anybody knows here, ‘Listen, if this really was a one time mistake, and you did not put this person in jeopardy,’ I personally think you should deal with it with yourself and with God and not go and say: ‘Honey look what I did,’ because I knew that this would ruin their relationship and their life. And I can tell you that many, many, many years later they’re happy and together and she did make that mistake and she has to carry that and live with that.”

Actually, this isn’t new advice, and I think a lot of people would agree with it. It’s the “free pass” part that probably rubs people the wrong way.

Katy Perry Wanted Russell Brand To File For Divorce

At first there was some speculation that Russell Brand had blindsided Katy Perry with his divorce filing, but now sources are telling TMZ that Katy wanted Russell to file to avoid upsetting her evangelical Christian parents.

Apparently Russell and Katy felt their relationship was over a few months ago but wanted to make an effort to work things out. However, both felt “it just wasn’t there” and decided to divorce.

Neither wanted to be in LA when the papers were filed, which is why Russell went to London while Katy went to Hawaii. It’s too bad, but sometimes things just don’t work out.

Debra Messing Dating Her ‘Smash’ Co-Star

Just a week after announcing her split from her husband Daniel Zelman, Debra Messing is reportedly dating her ‘Smash’ co-star Will Chase (see gallery).

“Debra and Will have been together for about six weeks. She is completely smitten with him. Will didn’t break up Debra and Daniel. It was over before she met Will.”

It makes sense now why she finally decided to share that she and Daniel split earlier this year.

Us Weekly also notes that Will left his wife of two years, actress Stephanie Gibson, but it’s unclear when the relationship ended.

Have you had a chance to check out Anderson Cooper’s new daytime TV show? Matt Damon and Scarlett Johansson, who star in the movie ‘We Bought a Zoo,’ dropped by (their interviews will air tomorrow, Wednesday, December 31).

Matt and Anderson chatted about gray hair. Matt explained why he’s starting to go gray .

The movie that I just finished about a week ago required me to shave it all off so I’m growing it back now. [I started going gray] When I had kids. Pretty much. I can sit at the dinner table and look at them and go, these are from and these are from you.

So true- LOL! Matt talks about having a more private life than other major movie stars.

Well I mean, I live up the street, I don’t have a Hollywood life… I’d like to say that’s all by design but I think in a lot of ways I just got lucky and I got lucky to fall in love with somebody who wasn’t in the industry. I just think of someone like Ben, who I grew up with, Ben Affleck, you know fell in love with another actor which is common because we’re all working together all the time. It’s more common to meet someone in the industry you’re in. So he and Jennifer fell in love and they get followed because I think when there are two celebrities in the relationship, it just becomes more interesting to the paparazzi or the press.

That makes sense! Matt and Anderson also shared their holiday “staycation” plans. Scarlett also talked about not riding the subway (maybe that will change since Anderson gave her a metro card: check out the thumbnails), and you can see Matt and Scarlett attempt to host Anderson’s show here.

Chaz Bono Calls Off His Engagement

Oh no, and I really thought these two were in it for the long haul! After several years together, Chaz Bono and his fiancee Jennifer Ella have not only called off their engagement, but have officially split.

According to People.com, the pair, who got engaged this past year in Seattle, ended their relationship on civil terms.

“They leave this relationship with great love, respect, and affection towards one another,” said the couple’s publicist, Howard Bragman. “No further amplification will be forthcoming and they ask you to respect their privacy at this time.”

Though both Chaz and Jennifer have yet to be spotted out and about since the breakup, the Dancing with the Stars contestant took to his Twitter to give an update to his fans.

“Thanks for your concern about our separation,” tweeted Chaz. “I’m doing fine and we remain on good terms with nothing but respect and affection 4 each other.”

While the twosome may no longer be spending holidays together, here’s hoping that both Chaz and Jennifer find happiness again in the new year.

Ashley Tisdale And Boyfriend Scott Speer Call It Quits

And another one bites the dust. After two years together, Ashley Tisdale and her beau Scott Speer have called it quits. Though the lovebirds seemed to be going strong, according to reports, it looks like the split was a longtime coming.

“They had been on and off for awhile,” said a source to Us Magazine.com. “They tried to work it out but realized their relationship just ran its course.”

Though Ashley and Scott won’t be spending anymore holidays together, the Disney darling has already started to move on and found the perfect solution with music! On Dec. 11, the newly single starlet took to her Twitter and posted a pic of herself and a few gal pals having a jam session to a smash single.

While a holiday break-up may be a bummer, with the help of some good tunes and great friends, Ashley is already on track to healing her heart for the new year.
